Chevy

Born in Athens, Greece in 1980. Still living there. He ‘spins’ club music, mostly in Athens, also all over Greece, the last 6 years. In ‘02 creates 'Improvize' mobile party with good friend and partner Mr. Statik (Immigrant, Karloff, Octapus). First the party was held in small venues, later on, in the biggest clubs the city. In 2005, ‘The Pins’ (a booking agency/ party team) was formed. Members of this music collective were Chevy, Mr. Statik, Scorpio, Novox (Lostra & T. Triantafyllou), Klinik team, Lemos etc. Synch Festival, the biggest electronic music festival in Greece, was a big influence and a great chance for him, both appearing (‘05, ‘08) and working for the fest (‘04, ‘06). He had also performed in the European Music Day in Athens, on ‘06, ‘07, ‘08. The sound of his DJ sets can be described as deep, electronic, tech house with lush melodies and lots of groove. But you don’t have to wonder if one night you‘ll hear him playing techno or nu disco, it’s all about the party! In the end of 2006, together with Alexees (an underground Athenian DJ hero), formed a monthly night called 'Urban Disco'. There you can hear him playing nu-disco etc. and generally a fascinating electronic boogie sound that is conquering the underground dance floors all over Europe. The last 2 years is working on his first productions together with key figures of the Greek dance scene such as Lemos, Thodoris Triantafyllou. His debut vinyl with Lemos was released at November of ‘07 on Be Chosen Records, based in Frankfurt. Finally, collaborates with Red Bull Home groove in Greece being a steady member of the team. Club appearances: U-Matic, Plus Soda, Luv, Motel (resident), Zoo(resident), Loop(resident), Yoga Bala(resident), Soul-stereo(resident), Miroir(resident), Club 22, El Barrio, Fetisch, Danza, Playback, Wunderbar, Dekko, Fuzz live, K44 bar(resident), Cavo Paradiso (Myconos), Casablanca (Santorini), Copla (Lefkada) Posh (Volos) etc. Festivals: Synch Festival ’05, ‘08 Athens European music day ’06, ’07, ‘08 Earthdance festival ’07, ’08 etc. Alongside DJs: Felix da Housecat, Umek, John Aquaviva, Kiki, Miss Yetti, Phill Hartnoll (Orbital), Pete Gooding, Chris Fortier, Swayzak, Luomo, DJ Pierre, Maurice Fulton, Move D, Stevie Kotey etc.
