Born in Acapulco (Mexico) Cris Herrera moved to the U.S at the age of 12 . Music was in his life at a very early stage, introduced by his grandfather a life long saxophone enthusiast. while integrating him self into society in southern California he was heavily influenced by the early nineties hip-hop and electronic music movements of the west coast . His contributions to the local scene have left an large imprint, making him a staple in the underground and club circuit's. He's consistently a featured guest at some of the longest running and most prestigious events & venues in the country. Annual appearances at Second Sunday ,Flammable, Sublevel, Winter Music Conference , Mi Casa Holiday (Playa del Carmen) Who's who (mexico) Brooklyn Club in (Mallorca) are regular destinations . His body of work as a DJ have created a following of loyal house heads devoted to the true deep sound. A co- founder of Souleil , a party that quickly became among the country's best day gatherings going on its 9th Season features a soulful approach and is a great place to display musical range as a DJ . Other projects such as The West Coast Weekender , Art of Sound and The Deep End are all events favored by the undergrounds elite DJ's . The past few years have allowed growth as an artist . As San Diego is now cemented among the top electronic music communities on the west coast, he is right in the center of the city's thriving music community . Constantly evolving and never pigeonholing him self into a specific sound, his sets include all the colors of what embodies house music, from acid to tribal, vocals & funky bass lines as well as classics and futuristic sounds and textures that make for memorable sets. His versatility and foundation allow him to move any forward-thinking crowd. Consistent hard work in the studio have yielded solid releases since 2015 . Berlin's Get Physical Music "Ibiza 2015 Compilation" with Spaniard partner Tato. Multiple releases on Spain's Isgud Records along with Dos Vilas , followed by Detroit's Kolour recordings with TOKITA. Most recently some collaborations with Homero Espinosa Large Records (Chicago ) and Oscar P Open Bar Music (NYC) have kept his name charting on music sites world wide.
