Dawn Penn

Jamaican reggae singer born 1952 in Kingston. After having recorded some songs for producers [a=Clement "Coxsone" Dodd], [a=Prince Buster] or [a=Bunny Lee] between 1966 and 1970, Dawn Penn left the music and moved to Tortola, British Virgin Islands. She came back to Jamaica in 1987 and re-recorded her 1967 [l=Studio One] hit "You don't love me - No no no" with producers [a=Steely & Clevie] in 1992. This new version was an international hit in 1994.
