ITZONE [Zonativa] Itzone’s lifestyle is all about music and attitude; he goes from easily converging sounds to mind blowing drama plays, guaranteed to get the dance floor moving. Itzone has been a key figure within Mexico's electronic scene. As a DJ, Producer and Promoter (House Of Tech - Multimedia Event) his style and compromise with music has been mesmerizing, continuously fueling the scene. Owner and mastermind behind Zonativa label, an opening verse of life through waves of purity housed in designed depths of a module that is related with its projective dimension and living exhibits through a Primitive Spaced Out Electronica Odyssey (Best for Outdoors). Itzone has an introspective journey always in search for his own sound. Translating his intuitions and sensibilities into sound engineering, he builds his personal way of thinking and sharing music through unpredictable and explosive Sets. Choosing to pursue and in many ways define a more cutting-edge sound, his approach to music has mutated through the years, defining his sound as a primitive, spaced out, electronica odyssey (best for outdoors). Itzone has transfigured dance floors, massive stages and alternative spaces inside and outside of Mexico, performing in festivals such as Loveparade (Mexico & Chile) and Mutek Mx '07 (Live) as the festival closing headliner. Mutek Mx '08 showcased LINEAS DE NAZCA vs. ITZONE in a 4 hour NO COMPUTER, all Hardware, Sequencer & Analogical Synthesis Live set. Whoever has experienced his sets has had the pleasure of losing control to this dynamic creation of rhythm and textures. * “Itzone – Azul Magico – Dirtybird” - * De-Bug Review http://de-bug.de/reviews/35662.html He is indeed correct, a Bassdrum doesn’t always have to be there. “Azul Magico” is a soundtrack, plenty of groove but without a kick, dense and warm, atmospheric and slightly ominous, funky and still elegish. Who knows what great things could come if Minimal would forget about the Kickdrum for a few month. Forget is the correct word in this case, because it could also just be there. But this way is more suspenseful. * “Roman Flügel’s Live at Robert Johnson Mix CD includes Itzone's Azul Magico (track that welcomed Itzone on Dirtybird Records) to come out early May 2010
