Detroit-born techno pioneer Jeff Mills, known as "The Wizard," co-founded Underground Resistance with Mad Mike Banks and Robert Hood in the late '80s. He later relocated to pursue solo work, establishing Axis Records and signing with Tresor. Known for intense DJ sets using multiple decks, Mills creates stripped-down, industrial-influenced techno. His work spans club tracks like "The Bells" to ambitious projects including film scores (Metropolis, 1926) and orchestral collaborations, exploring futurism and space themes.
