Luca Morris, a renowned figure in Northeast Italy's techno scene with over 25 years of experience, entered the electronic music realm fueled by a passion inspired by scratch virtuosos and the innovators of hip-hop. Influences from revolutionary bands like The Doors and Kraftwerk, combined with the vibrancy of Electro Disco, have profoundly influenced his love for music. In the '90s, Morris's journey into electronic music commenced, showcasing his adept mixing skills and earning him a residency at Rovigo's Maskò in 1992. This initial success paved the way for residencies at esteemed clubs like La Scala in Padova and Aida in Jesolo. In subsequent years, Luca dedicated himself to crafting electronic music, playing a pivotal role in shaping his sonic identity. In 2006, Luca Morris, in collaboration with his associate Paul C, founded the Polar “Noise label”. This initiative marked not only a significant leap in his artistic evolution but also the establishment of an authentic platform for expressing and sharing his sonic vision. Throughout this journey, Luca's single "Lamu" gained prominence, selected for the "Cocoon Heroes" compilation curated by Adam Beyer and Dorian Paic, affirming recognition from key figures in the electronic music scene. With releases on esteemed labels like “Terminal M”, “Saved”, and “Deeperfect”, Luca Morris solidified his international presence. A collaboration with Mozzy Rekorder in 2016 opened doors to new opportunities, featuring releases on notable labels such as “100% Pure Records” and “IAMT”. The year 2020 marked a triumph with the techno remake of "Gypsy Woman," dominating Beatport's Techno Chart for 26 consecutive days. Another victory unfolded in 2023 with the remix of "Born Slippy," ascending to number one on the Beatport peaktime chart and ranking among the most-streamed tracks of the year. His track "Minuetto" achieved the prestigious honor of being chosen by Armin van Buuren for the "State Of Trance 23" compilation. Luca Morris has garnered support and appreciation from some of the biggest names in the techno scene, including Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, and Maceo Plex. The zenith of his career was a 5-hour set at Berghain, an extraordinary acknowledgment of his contribution to the techno scene. His talent has graced dancefloors at iconic international clubs, including Suicide Circus and Berghain in Berlin, Komplex 44 in Zurich, Warehouse in Nice, and the Weekend Club in the German capital.
