Machine Woman (Anastasia) is a Russian-born artist, sound explorer, and promoter who continuously pushes the boundaries of electronic music culture. She is the founder of the experimental imprint TAJR and hosted a five-year residency on Rinse FM, where she championed emerging talents and fuelled her ever-curious approach to intricate sound design. Expanding her presence on the airwaves, she now helms the show Sonic Disturbances on Subtle Radio, delving into bass, dubstep, broken beat, and experimental textures. Her latest project, the **Machine Sound Electronics Club**, is a free monthly music producer meetup that offers captivating lectures, demo-listening sessions, and immersive sonic experiences directly through the club’s sound system. Machine Woman’s innovative output has seen original releases on Technicolour, WTN?, Peder Mannerfelt, and K7!, plus high-profile remixes for Houndstooth, Domino, Ninja Tune, DFA, Phantasy, and 2DIY4. From DC10 to Berghain, her records effortlessly settle into iconic clubs and cutting-edge events, while her global showcases have reached festivals like Mutek Canada, Dark MOFO Australia, RB Festival Japan, Shenzhen’s Oil Club, and Norway’s Insomnia. In addition, she has recently played set at London’s Tate Modern for a Yoko Ono exhibition and delivered two bass heavy dj sets for BICEP CURATES shows. Through all of these endeavours, Machine Woman remains on the vanguard of electronic experimentation, continuously challenging conventions and inspiring fellow creatives worldwide.
