Moacir Santos

Moacir Santos (1926–2006) was a Brazilian composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist known for his innovative contributions to Brazilian jazz and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). Blending Afro-Brazilian rhythms with sophisticated harmonies and orchestration, he crafted a unique sound that influenced both Brazilian and international jazz musicians. His albums, such as "Coisas" (1965), are regarded as groundbreaking, showcasing his mastery of complex arrangements and rich melodic structures.
