Berlin supergroup Moderat fuses Apparat's ethereal melancholy with Modeselektor's kinetic club energy, creating electronic music that's both intellectually captivating and physically irresistible. Named 2009's #1 Live Act by Resident Advisor, this trio--Sascha Ring, Gernot Bronsert, and Sebastian Szary--craft tracks praised as "extremely beautiful and catchy," balancing introspection with dancefloor urgency. After a hiatus, they returned with 2022's 'More D4ta', proving their vision endures: sophisticated, emotionally resonant electronic music that refuses compromise.
