Mumdance

As an artist, Mumdance is behind some of the most innovative and influential dance records of the last decade. His collaborations with MC Novelist (‘1 Sec’ and ‘Take Time’, released on XL Recordings and Rinse), the critically acclaimed ‘Proto’ album with regular production partner Logos and a series of show-stopping club 12”s with Pinch all echo around the electronic music landscape today. In their summary of the 2010s, Resident Advisor named ‘Take Time’ one of the 20 greatest singles of the decade. As a DJ, Mumdance is known for his tastemaking and extraordinary breadth, something encapsulated by the Radio Mumdance project. A series of weekly radio shows on Rinse FM and NTS which saw him play back-to-back sets with a who’s who of iconic electronic artists (including DJ Stingray, Ben UFO, Josey Rebelle and Nina Kraviz), the series helped establish Mumdance as one of the circuit’s most-loved and adaptable DJs.
