Romina Cohn is a dj, electronic music composer and filmmaker from Buenos Aires Argentina. As if it were a sign of things to come, Romina Cohn’s childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is packed with musical anecdotes. From a young age, 11 years old, she was already playing around at home with two Technics decks that belonged to a DJ cousin who, apart from giving her an acid house vinyl collection, inspired her to make new sounds. Aged just 16, her career started to soar on the local electronic music scene and took a giant leap when she was offered a residency at Morocco, the cult club in Buenos Aires (2000). That’s where the respected and succesful german DJ Hell first heard Romina and her productions. He recruited her on the spot as a new artist for his German-based label International Deejay Gigolo Records, saying: "You’ve got to be a Gigoletta now.” Romina Cohn’s childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is packed with musical anecdotes.
