She's available. She's not expensive. She's industrial. She's minimal. She's maximal. She's bangin'. She's sensitive. She's impressionable. She's got a headache. She’s got four nipples. She's got her whole life ahead of her. Maybe you'll like her. She's drunk. She's Drunk aka David Monnin first came into contact with electronic music in the early 2000s through the techno rave scene in France. Since then being based in Berlin for a couple of years, he found home in the collective/label 'Through My Speakers. By absorbing a wealth of different influences, he's built a reputation for a unique approach to the dance floor, whether that is intricate productions, eclectic DJ sets or explosive live shows. He's characterized by his desire to experiment and produce club music with unconventional taste he's accumulated in the past 15 years of deejaying. His major focus is to surprise himself with an unexpected outcome by producing music in a spontaneous fashion, birthing accidents for later productions. After two EPs on Leonizer Records in 2013 he followed in September 2014 his debut Boiler Room set with the release of 'Physical' EP on London-based label Liminal Sounds. Drawing on elements of Jersey Club, Jungle, Grime, Hip Hop and Dancehall the EP received widespread support from international press and deejays. While performing in Germany and beyond as She's Drunk the past two years he has been also touring for a couple of months as a support Dj with Zebra Katz for his spring and summer tour this year. 2017 has been also a year of collaborations for She's Drunk, working on music and producing with different artists such as Perera Elsewhere, Zebra Katz, Sho Madjozi, Natlek, Nobel just to name a few. His last release in date is called 'Anton' and was released on the Swiss based label Files Rec early this year. It features two tracks plus a remix by Strip Steve. Oscillating between heavy percusions, hypnotic sounds and a dark soundscape, it was inspired by the wet atmosphere of Panama where he produced it. Some highlights of the past few years include: feature mixtapes, like one for DIS Magazine entitled 'Materials' featuring 80% of unreleased materials, singles premiered and reviewed by Mixmag, XLR8R, THUMP, Red Bull Music Studio, [re]sources, Through My Speakers, as well as a series of remixes on a variety of labels including, Infinite Machine, The Astral Plane, Sounds Of Sumo, Car Crash Set, Lucky Beard, Nostro Hood System, Bad Taste Records, ect... He has been selected by Musicboard Berlin and Border Movement to attend this year's music residency in Sri Lanka and India in November and December. And with the release of his new Ep in December and other collaborative projects, the future is looking promising!
