Purist of the vinyl, deejay and records collector since 2001. Steve Murphy has made a name for himself` as a dj by blending electroclash, house with mechanic beat and pop appeal: an ecletism which is testified also by his producer skills. Skills that granted him, along the years, to gather consent from artists coming from almost any corner of the electronic music scene: Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Mount Kimbie, Skream, .egowelt, Boyznoize, Virginia, Nastia and Moxie have all played Steve tracks along the last years He starts the producer carrier in 2011 with the first vinyl release on Chiwax from Frankfurt, after that release he worked with labels as Wilson Record, Hot House, Domina Trxxx and Lobster Theremin 2017 marks the birth of "Metal Position"', record label run by Steve Murphy & Dj Octopus and dedicated to their passion for minimalistic electro. Steve gained attention from many european promoters, who booked hin at venues such as Tresor and Renate in Berlin, Corsica Studios and Oval Space in London, Batofar in Paris, Goa Club and Rebel Rebel in Rome, Sound Department in Taranto, Closer in Kiev, 101 in Clermont Ferrand anc Mosaique in St. Petersburg to name a few.
