Jazz/funk Herbie Hancock-sounding harmonies meeting vintage synth basses, the beating, human, pumping heart of a discofunk sample being amplified by an electronic bypass: The Supermen Lovers is a musical story. It's a story about analog machines, vocoders, 6-strings guitars and Rhodes pianos. About '70s lead synth sounds laid upon a huge beat and a jazzy, groovy swinging guitar commanding you to lose yourself "between the ages". On stage with Thomas Naim (already Sebastien Tellier's guitarist), The Supermen Lovers delivers a true, pumping live, logical sequel to his third and best album, Between The Ages produced with members of the Disco Funk gotha such as former Chic singer Norma Jean Wright or Rick Bailey from Delegation. Fantasma Disco ep, The Supermen Lovers last release, features two original tracks from the album Between The Ages, with remixes from the likes of Jupiter (Kitsuné), A.N.D.Y., Veitengruber (Brise) and Le Loup (Hold Youth), in between the most tender pop music and the sexiest grooves of house music.
