Azuli Records

House label founded in London in 1990 by [a=David Piccioni] and based above Black Market Records in Soho. General manager from 1993 to 2003: [a=Simon Marks (5)]. Like several other London labels from the same era, early Azuli releases had a fake New York address on the labels e.g. [r37193]. Azuli's UK garage releases, with their black sleeves, started in 1997. See [l=BM Funky] and [l=BM Soho] for the related labels active in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The company behind the label from 2004 to April 2009, when Azuli went into liquidation, was [l=Coolpool Ltd.] aka [l=Cool Pool Ltd.]. The back catalogue was later purchased by [l=Phoenix Music International Ltd.]
